Musings on Jewish Education and Jewish Living

About Lisa Goldstein

I am a wife, a mother of two young adults, and a Jewish educator with over 25 years in the field.  I believe in a holistic approach to Jewish education, considering the impact of Jewish education over the course of a person’s lifetime on his or her Jewish identity and experience.  I am working on demolishing the walls between formal and informal education in order to provide a multitude of access points for connection to synagogue and community.  I earned a B.A.in Near East and Judaic Studies at Brandeis University and a MAEd from University of Judaism (now known as the American Jewish University).  I currently serve as Director of Lifelong Jewish Learning at Temple Beth-El in San Antonio, Texas and am a member of the National Association of Temple Educators.
